The illustrated edition of The Metamorphosis features original artwork created by Natalia Dominguez exclusively for Zehnlicht. Her visual language—at once restrained and unsettling—echoes the atmosphere of Kafka’s text without attempting to define it.
Rather than presenting straightforward images of Gregor or his surroundings, she pursued textures, fragments, and shadowed forms that evoke a state of unease and transformation. The illustrations remain an integral part of the printed book, underscoring the sense of intimacy and exclusivity that accompanies this edition.
Out of respect for the artist’s wishes, only small glimpses are shared here; the complete series is available solely within the physical volume.
